a 3D realization of a bacterium isolated from the Colosseum’s biofilm. The sculptural form of Zoé (ζωή)—representing supposedly “naked” life (life that can be killed but not sacrificed)—is “clad” in the hides and furs of the “exotic” animals once slaughtered in the Colosseum, thereby transforming them into seating furniture. The tactile “facticity” of the surfaces and forms is experienced as a personal yet communicable fiction, inviting a discussion on the „Theatrum Profanum“ of the future. Related to the artist´s project AMPHITHEATRUM MUNDI.
